The Premise
In the near future, genetic reprogramming is no longer confined to medicine. A covert state programme has developed a way to alter the impulses behind repeated criminality, aggression and reckless behaviour. To its architects, it is humane, precise and necessary. To everyone else, it is almost entirely invisible.
The Man Inside the System
Adam Kessler is one of the people who helped make the programme possible. At home, he's a husband to Victoria, whose instinct to smooth things over sits in constant, quiet tension with his own. He's a father to Wren, whose choices in men worry him more than he'll admit. What none of them know is that Adam has started making private choices about who deserves to be corrected — operating beyond the rules he helped create, starting close to home.
